Free Website Audit

A free, plain-English review of speed, search visibility, mobile usability, cookie consent and whether the site actually gets you anything.

Free

No idea why the website isn't earning its keep? We'll go through it properly and come back with a plain-English answer to three questions: what's working, what isn't, and what to fix first. It costs nothing, arrives in writing, and carries no obligation.

Where AI fits after an audit

We do it by hand deliberately. An audit is a set of judgements rather than a score a machine can produce, and the value is in the judgements. What often turns up in one, though, is a single repeated task eating somebody's morning — and that is frequently worth automating. If the review doesn't identify one, buying AI won't conjure it.

Free, and nothing hanging off it

A great many studios hand out an 'audit' that is really a pitch for work they were always going to charge for. This is an actual look at what you have now, and you get it regardless of whether you ever work with us. If your site is fine, we'll tell you it's fine. That is the only thing that makes a free review worth reading.

What the review actually covers

How fast it loads on a phone on mobile data. Whether Google can find it for what you do and where you do it. Whether it behaves on a small screen. Whether the security basics are in place. Whether the cookie consent and privacy information required here in Spain are there at all. And whether it asks visitors for anything whatsoever — which, more often than not, turns out to be the problem.

Ordered by what actually matters

The findings come back sorted by how much difference each one would make to your enquiries, not as a technical list. Most businesses need the top three things fixing and nothing else; the remainder can wait, and we'll say so rather than inventing work to justify a bigger invoice.

Honest about whether you need anything doing

Many of the sites we look at need one change rather than a rebuild. Others need nothing beyond a few corrections. A small number genuinely do need replacing, and we'll say so. You get a straight answer whichever way it falls, because the alternative is that nobody trusts the free one.

Yours to keep either way

It belongs to you whichever way this goes. Take it to another designer, do the first three yourself, or put the whole thing in front of us — nothing in it is written to be actionable only by us.

What’s included

  • Speed and performance, measured on a phone
  • Search visibility and Google Business Profile check
  • Mobile usability and accessibility
  • Security, cookie consent and the legal basics
  • Recommendations in priority order

Why it matters

  • A clear picture of where you actually stand
  • Quick wins now, longer fixes later
  • No jargon — and no sales call to sit through

Often useful alongside this

  • SEO the natural next step if the audit shows you're simply not being found.
  • Website design only if the audit says a rebuild is genuinely the answer.
  • AI for business if it shows the same manual job costing you hours every week.

Common questions

Is the audit genuinely free?
Yes, with nothing attached to it. Doing it is how we both find out quickly whether there's anything worth building, and we'd rather earn a project than talk you into one.
What will the report contain?
A written review of your site: speed, search visibility, mobile use, security, cookie consent, and whether it produces enquiries, with a prioritised list of what would help most.
What if it's bad news?
Sometimes, and you won't hear it softened. That said, a site which isn't working is normally a handful of changes rather than a rebuild, and you'll know which ones and what each costs.
What if I'd rather fix things myself?
That's exactly what the prioritised list is for. Every fix is described in enough detail to hand to a designer or hand-roll yourself. Disagree with our judgement if you like — the document doesn't need us to be right about it.
How long does it take?
A few days, usually. We'll say when it's ready, and it arrives in writing rather than as a call you have to sit through while someone explains what you already suspected.
